The design of Olive Guest House comes from the need to connect the project to the Earth and its surroundings. A space exclusively designed for the tasting and enjoyment of a product that comes from the earth, such as olive oil, demands an architecture that is tied to the Earth. Hence our ambition to link the project to the five senses. We wanted to create a space where the smell, the touch, the sight, and even the hearing, but above all, the taste, are heightened to the maximum to enjoy the tasting of this very special product in the most natural and ancestral way possible, while also being an innovative, modern, and, above all, environmentally friendly space. The oil evokes the Earth, lush greenery, a unique aroma, and the tranquility conveyed by the tree that produces it. The olive tree is a symbol of longevity and immortality. Likewise, it represents resilience and renewal, as it has the ability to withstand adverse conditions. Additionally, it signifies prosperity and fertility through its abundance of flowers and fruits, symbolizing its capacity to sprout and bring forth new life. We wanted the Architecture to be capable of conveying all these characteristics through the use of materials and a highly transparent interior-exterior connection to engage with nature in all its spaces through courtyards throughout the project. The result is a sensorial experience.
